Bob Casey Doesn’t Rule Out Raising Taxes on Middle-Income Pennsylvanians

But Dave McCormick does

PHILADELPHIA, PA. — When he ran for president, Joe Biden promised Americans he wouldn’t raise taxes on anyone earning less than $400,000: “Nobody making under 400,000 bucks would have their taxes raised, period, bingo.”

But the Wall Street Journal this week wrote that Senator Elizabeth Warren is willing to “hold the middle-class tax cuts that expire in 2025 hostage” if she doesn’t get her way.

And guess who’s singing a similar tune? Bob Casey.

“We’re going to have a lot of decisions to make about extending cuts or not. We haven’t made decisions about that yet,” Casey told Roll Call.

“At a time when the cost of gas, groceries, and rent is sky-high thanks to Democrats’ reckless spending, liberal, career politician Bob Casey is open to raising taxes on Pennsylvanians. This is more proof that Casey will always put his friends in Washington over the people he serves,” said Dave McCormick. “Bob Casey may not rule out raising taxes on middle-income Pennsylvanians, but I certainly do.”
