McCormick Joins ABC 4 Pittsburgh to Discuss His Energy Vision for PA, the Failures of Bidenomics, & EV Mandates

PITTSBURGH, PA. — Dave McCormick, a combat veteran and Pennsylvania job creator who served in the highest levels of government, recently joined ABC 4’s 4 The Record to discuss Dave’s vision to make Pennsylvania an energy superpower, inflation under Joe Biden and Bob Casey, and EV mandates.

Watch the full interview here.

On Dave’s energy vision

“The Congress and the president should be embracing…the use of all forms of energy. Right now, what we’re doing is heavily subsidizing EVs and solar panels. And we’re trying to constrain the use of oil and gas… We should be embracing all energy sources… We should be doing that [to] develop our natural gas opportunities here in Pennsylvania. That requires pipeline reform — we’ve got to have more pipelines — it requires the opportunity to drill without litigation and red tape, and ideally, we’d have an offshore port in Southeast Pennsylvania, which would allow us to export our natural gas to the world. That’s the kind of energy vision we need to have.”

On how Joe Biden and Bob Casey’s excessive spending led to skyrocketing inflation

“Sixty percent of Pennsylvania families live paycheck to paycheck, and this inflation is crushing them…if you’re buying fuel, food, or rent, you’re getting squeezed… It’s the direct result of two bad policy choices. One is unbelievable spending… Under President Biden…we’re spending 6 trillion more dollars. And that’s the main driver of inflation… In the Senate, I’d say we’ve got to pull back on the spending.”

On Biden and Casey’s EV mandates

“The regulations on oil and gas…are about changing the direction of our energy policy in the country. The Biden administration is explicitly trying to kill [the] consumption of oil and gas. Look at the most recent EV mandate mandates. By 2032 — seventy percent of light vehicles [sales] have to be EVs. This is absolutely devastating to other forms of automobiles. This is devastating to manufacturing jobs.”
